We are Historic Harmony, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization. The office is located in the main Museum building at 218 Mercer Street, Harmony, PA 16037.

Office hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm; phone (724) 452-7341.

Historic Harmony, Inc. includes nine properties: seven historic buildings along with the Harmony Society Cemetery and the Mennonite Meetinghouse Cemetery. Through projects, activities and concerts, the organization seeks to showcase the German culture of the settlers who came to this area 200+ years ago. These heritage crafts and music events draw some 25,000 visitors each year.

THE MISSION OF HISTORIC HARMONY, INC. is:

1. To preserve and promote knowledge of Harmony area’s history and heritage through museum collections and outreach activities.

2. To foster tourism in Southwestern Butler County.

3. To encourage preservation of historical resources in support of educational quality of life, economic development and associated community objectives.

4. To support students of history and museum management through paid internships.

5. To encourage other property owners to preserve and beautify their historic buildings through our Heritage Awards Program.

Operation of Historic Harmony, Inc. is made possible by the members and many volunteers who generously give of their time and talents. Funding is supported through fundraisers, membership and tour fees, gift shop sales, donations and a grant from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Board of Directors

Historic Harmony, Inc. Board of Directors is made up of four officers and six non officer directors. Officers are elected by the membership every two years. Non officer directors are elected by the membership every three years with two positions expiring each year.
