More Than Artifacts

Harmony Museum is more than just artifacts and displays.  We strive to engage visitors to Harmony in the culture, stories, and architecture that shaped this region. The overarching goal is to build a vibrant community by using cultural and historic resources in ways that add value to citizen’s lives today and in the future.

The museum owns 7 buildings, many more than 200 years old. Restoration of these structures is an on-going effort. We just finished replacing more than 40 windows in a key Harmonist building (built 1812) at a cost of $150,000. To learn more, and how you can help, click the links below:

The museum accepts donations of artifacts important to the history of Harmony and the surrounding region. Many of these are on display in the Harmony Museum. We also collect memories and stories that bring local history to life.

Through events, classes, tours, and archives we share our local history.
