More Than Artifacts

Historic Harmony, Inc strives to engage visitors to Harmony in the culture, stories and architecture that shaped this region. Our overarching goal is to build a vibrant community by using culture and historic resources in ways that add value to citizens’ lives today and in the future.

The museum owns 7 buildings, many more than 200 years old. Restoration of these structures is an on-going effort. We just finished replacing more than 40 windows in a key Harmonist building (built 1812) at a cost of $150,000.

The museum accepts donations of artifacts important to the history of Harmony and the surrounding region. Many of these are on display in the Harmony Museum. We also collect memories and stories that bring local history to life.

Through events, classes, tours, and archives we share our local history.
