Get into the Christmas Spirit in the German Town of Harmony, PA
Merry Christmas! Or as the early Harmonists would say, Frohe Weihnachten! Come celebrate Christmas with us in the style of our founders. Harmony will host its traditional German Christmas Market or Weihnachtsmarkt, on November 14th from 10AM-6PM and 15th from 12PM to 4PM.
Entrance
Christmas Markets are a quintessential part of the holiday season in Germany and have become so for family and friends just north of Pittsburgh. Each year thousands visit our historic town for wholesome fun fit for the entire family! Admission starts at just $10. Children 12 and under and seniors 65 and older are just $5. All admission directly benefits the Harmony Museum.
Parking
You have enough stress with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Let us bus you to the event with off-site parking and free transportation to the market.
Food and Fair:
Join us as we sing and raise a toast of glühwein to the town and our history, raise money for the Harmony Museum, and enjoy the merriment of the season shopping from artisans both local and from afar. In the market you can find everything from candies to candles, homemade gifts to kitchen goods.
Entertainment:
With the price of admission guests gain access to the Weihnachtsmarkt, horse drawn carriage rides through town, and live entertainment. You won’t want to miss the Alpen Schuhplattlers. Performances by this local traditional dance group will be on the stage in the tent at 12:30PM and 4:30PM on Saturday, and then at 12PM and 3PM on Sunday. In addition to dancing, Harmony will also host the Teutonia Männerchor, or Men’s Choir. These performances will be at 1PM and 3PM on Saturday.
