In the dead of winter, 1805, Father George Rapp gathered his followers together and signed papers founding the communal Harmonie Society.  Historic Harmony and the Harmony Museum celebrate that signing each year with Harmoniefest, an entertaining evening with food, awards, and a bit of history.

The evening also includes a presentation by local historian Tom Nesbitt, about the first log cabin and settlers in Butler county. And we’ll award this year’s Heritage Awards and Commendations, given for outstanding efforts in historic preservation. This year’s winners are the Old Stone House Region Antique Auto Club of America for their restoration and continued maintenance of historic, mad-in-Butler-County automobiles. Frank Luek of Harmony for his work completing the interior of the Visitor Information Cabin on Main Street in Harmony. Ryan and Marlene Wise for the construction of a historically appropriate garage at their home, 333 Mercer Road, Harmony, and the Zelienople Historical Society for their recent work engaging the public and telling stories about Zelienople.

Reservations are now closed.
